Host Guide

Prepare for Your Guest

A step-by-step guide to getting your space guest-ready and delivering a five-star hosting experience.

1

Review the Booking

Check the guest's profile, their booking dates, and any special requests or messages they sent. Familiarise yourself with what was agreed upon so there are no surprises on either side.

Look at the guest's previous bookings and reviews — it helps you tailor the welcome to their experience level.

2

Confirm and Respond Quickly

Send an initial confirmation message within 24 hours of the booking. Thank the guest, express your enthusiasm, and let them know you'll follow up with more details. Use the platform messaging to create a record of your exchanges.

A quick response (ideally within 6 hours) shows professionalism and reassures the guest — it significantly reduces cancellation rates.

3

Coordinate Formalities and Logistics

Organize the commercial lease signing and exchange necessary documents (insurance, certificates). Confirm the exact arrival time, key handover method, and discuss any specific guest needs. Use the platform messaging to track all your exchanges.

Finalize the lease within 3-5 days after booking to secure the transaction — a quickly signed contract reassures both parties.

4

Send Detailed Arrival Information

Reach out to your guest 2-3 days before their arrival. Share complete practical details: access instructions, Wi-Fi password, parking tips, nearby amenities, and your phone number for the day.

A warm, detailed welcome message sets the tone for the entire stay — guests remember hosts who go the extra mile.

5

Prepare the Space

Deep-clean the space, verify that all equipment works (lights, heating, electrical outlets), restock any supplies you provide, and stage the space so it looks inviting and ready to use from the moment the guest walks in.

Walk through the space as if you were the guest seeing it for the first time — fix anything that would disappoint you.

6

Welcome the Guest

Meet your guest at the agreed time on arrival day. Hand over the keys, give a quick walkthrough of the space (show them how everything works), point out emergency exits, and answer any questions they might have.

Prepare a small welcome folder with Wi-Fi info, local restaurant recommendations, and emergency contacts.

7

Follow Up and Stay Available

Check in with your guest after the first day to make sure everything is going smoothly. Stay reachable throughout their stay for any issues, and kindly ask for a review at checkout — it helps your listing grow.

A quick 'How is everything going?' message after day one shows you care and catches small issues before they become big ones.
